Getting into the Paintball Game
Whether you're new or experienced or
you've never given paintball a try or perhaps you've played
once or twice and you enjoyed the game but you just didn't feel
that you were as good as some of your competitors or friends,
here's a few tips to help you step up your game.
It's important to remember while it can be intense and fun
that it is just a game. Everyone will get hit at one point or
another and it's important to remain calm and alert and
focused. The easiest targets are the ones sitting behind
obstacles with their hearts racing scared of hearing a splat
from a paintball on their chest and if you're one of these
people you are playing in favor of your opponet because he will
be looking for these kind of targets and not to mention you'll
be dragging the team down.
You've got to stay alert and focused because the sound of
your own heart beating and the fear is a huge distraction for
you and it's easy pickings for the opposing team.
A sitting duck is another easy target because everyone else
will most likely be on the move. Don't just sit there and wait
for them to find you, this is bad news. If you're not shooting
nor are you on the move, you're going to be a downfall to your
team mates.
Staying geared and well covered will surely reduce the sting
of being shot because believe me, no one wants to take a direct
hit to the face or anywhere for that matter. Playing safe and
not stupid could also save a trip to the hospital.
Remember not to waste all your energy and run out of breath
quick because you're going to be constantly on the move and
saving your energy is important in the field. New players will
have their heart's pounding while they're running around
looking for other players and this will make you out of breath
quicker and in return, an easy target.
When you're running around like a frenzied frightened animal
running wind sprints you're giving your opponent an upper hand
in the game. Also, you must get into the habit and learn to
load without looking. Your head and eye sight should be above
the barrel at all times because even a one second distraction
could cost you, so practice loading your pod without
looking.
