What is Paintball?

So, you may be into the game already or you may be looking to get into the game or you've just plain never heard of paintball and you must be thinking, "what is paintball"?

Paintball is played indoors, outdoors and in the woods and is a team sport for the most part. Age is not really a factor when it comes to playing paintball as many young and many old people who vary in skill and physical conditions enjoy the game.

Most games have two teams that will start on opposing sides of eachother on opposite ends of the field and when the horn blows for the game to start they will try to either retrieve the opponenet's flag and take it to their home while protecting their own flag at the same time. Each team is equipped with paintball guns that use CO2 or also known as, compressed air to propel paintballs that on contact will explode and mark the target with paint.

Any and all physical contact isn't allowed and referees will enforce strict rules to make sure every player abides by the rules and keeps safe during game play. Paintball is great exercise and the tactics used in paintball are similiar tactics used in war in some sense, and the game focuses on a lot of team work to achieve your goal.

When a player has been marked by an imploding paintball they are eliminated from the game and sit out until the game is in session. You will find that paintballs come in a wide variety of colors to choose from and since they were first brought into the world, they've gotten much better. Paintballs are just round very squishy balls with a gel like substance inside that will mark it's targets with a splat.

Since paintballs were first released, they're a lot more environment friendly than they used to be and are a lot easier to wash from your clothes than they used to be. It was back in the day when only goggles were used as a form of face protection rather than today's full mask protection gear.

If your goggles are removed at any time, the referees will most likely ask you to leave the game as safety pre-cautions and rules must be strictly enforced at all times for the well beeing of everyone.

Paintball is a fun sport but can be dangerous so remember to be safe and cautious while you enjoy the game, because no one enjoys a trip to the hospital.
